Cle Elum Pioneer Days!

Praise Jesus!
What a great honor and privilege it is to be entrusted with the ministry of reconciliation! The privilege to proclaim His name to the captives of this dark world. To tell that person who asks why they need Him so desperately. Again there is nothing more important to God’s heart than the lost to be reconciled back to Himself through His precious Son Jesus Christ.
Wenatchee, Poulsbo, Shelton, Portland! This adventure leads us to the little town of Cle Elum WA about an hour and 30 min. from us. They were celebrating their 41st annual Pioneer Day’s Celebration and we thought we would join them. This is the time of the year when many of the small town USA’s have their community festivals and what a golden opportunity to show up out of nowhere and tell them about the One who gave all so they might live!
We were packed and hit the road at 6:00AM stopped twice on our way out to pick up everybody, then headed up I-90 over the pass. It was a nice drive over, the joy of God we have in fellowship when we haven’t seen one another for a while. We talked, laughed and drank our coffee. The weather was good, overcast but not raining. We stopped over the other side for a restroom break. Our first attempt to sow a seed for God was with a hard hearted woman at this cafĂ©’, gas food store was something. She was lost hard and didn’t want truth so sad L. We headed in to Cle Elum and got in with time to spare but not waste. We drove down main street, the folding chairs could be seen set up waiting for the Parade to begin. We found a spot to park in front of a little Nazarene Church house and prayed. God give us what we need, and we need YOU! Praying for the lost is good but with evangelism it makes more sense and evangelism with out prayer is suicide. We prayed and new in our hearts God’s blessings were with us, then we pulled the gear, tracts, Bibles put up our banners and headed to the main street. We got there with plenty of time to walk up and down the parade route. Both sides of the streets were lined with people. Toby, Paul and my self went up. The wind was some thing 25mph maybe more? Trying to raise the banners reminded me of the famous picture of the soldiers raising the flag at Iwo Jima. Take the ground for Jesus! We pressed on up the street preaching the gospel; stopping to rest against the wind as we went and to call souls to repentance God, I know God touched some. No body said a word they just looked at us and listened, talk about a confined audience! There was some thing very real that happened as we got to the end of the street, like spiritually Jesus was being manifested to these people and like they knew that He is the truth and that they needed to acknowledge that truth. There was break through and I know there are some that went to sleep thinking about what they heard and saw. And that is what God wants for His Holt Spirit to go to work and convict sinners of all their sin they have sinned against Him. For “When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment:” John 16:8. We worked our way back down to the entrance to their little street market and took our stand there. People passed by as we handed out Gospel tracts. Cle Elum was very open to us, very little to no opposition except the ring leader women of the market trying to make us pay to preach and the only contact I had with law enforcement was asking me to get behind the parking line because the parade was coming. We passed tracts using them for personal witness as the parade went on. Soon it was over and a mass of people converged on this little market area. I jumped up on a barrier wall and went to preach ’in. The law and the gospel to bring the knowledge of sin and salvation with some added on the judgment of the country. Hundreds if not a thousand or two all heard the cry to repent and believe. I took a turn then Toby went again with the beautiful message of Jesus Christ, God’s gift to us for our hell deserving sin! We passed hundreds of Gospel tracts each one bearing the potential of a soul saved! Everyone witnessed and lots of conversation. I went back and got some amplification from the van and set up the preach stool. Brother Paul went to the OpenAir and continued the call to the lost with such a loving heart. How can anyone say NO to Jesus is beyond comprehension! He preached for quite a while then, Toby went again. We just kept taking turns with the banners helping to draw people to listen. Brother Bill with his new P/A took his first shot at the OpenAir! It was awesome! The Bible and scripture pouring forth from a heart sold out for Jesus Christ and that is what it is all about! Praise God brother Bill be encouraged, it was inspiring to all of us! We decided it was time to take a break and headed back to the vans for some refreshment and food! All except brother Tim, he stayed back a while to witness to a lady that really was moved by his touch of Jesus. God saves and does it through His word being spoken in love to those that will respond. Tim sowed in her heart and she responded with tears I believe? in love with a hug and a thank you for the truth he shared. We finished eating met the pastor of the old Nazarene Church house and were appreciative of his hospitality to let us hang out. The food was great and needed, witnessing takes a lot of labor, thank you Tracy, Lisa ,Kalii and Julia for taking care of our needs. After then we gather ourselves prayed and headed back again for round two. We did more OpenAir and had many more one-2-ones. A lot of young people were there and these are our next generation of leaders. I was moved as I watch Annie witness to a group of teens about eight of them. She was in total control as she led them through the principles of the Law of God bringing conviction hitting the target of their conscience and telling them the good news of Jesus. Again I watch her witness to an older gentleman that seemed quite taken by what was coming out of this young ladies mouth. He was visible moved by what she had spoken, the Gospel of his salvation from one so young! Annie thanked him and gave him a Gospel of John. God’s Word went forth into his heart and he will never be the same again! Tired, sunburned, voices gone, but greatly rejoicing with joy inexpressible and full of glory! We head back to the vans, loaded up and headed out. Cle Elum did not know we were coming and now know we were there. Light shines in the darkness if we will take off the lampshade! This nation is not gospel hardened it is gospel ignorant. The moral fabric of the great USA is a train wreck! The truth in its simplicity is not being taught in the pulpits. The Living Word must be preach in the OpenAir and truth shared at every opportunity. People must hear to receive Christ, to be given the opportunity to make the choice for faith to have God save them. The lost are not in the buildings on Sundays, wait I take that back the lost are in the building on Sunday hiding and need to go out and save some sinners! If those congregations that say they are Christian and have no concern for the state of this lost nation and the judgment that is at hand. Knowing the fact that those who die in their sin separate from Christ will perish forever in the lake of fire and can mustard no compassion to be moved out of four walls to tell people the truth, I say they may be lost themselves! Please hear what I say. No care for what God’s care is, is being selfish and selfishness must die if we are to die to this world and we must die. This is picking up your cross and following Christ. He has commanded “GO” preach the Gospel , can you hear His heart? are you obeying His commandment? This maybe hard but it is the truth it is not an option, love could never be so cold-hearted as to know the truth and not tell those around us. Wake up Church! People are perishing!
May God have mercy on us all.
