As I write this I am overwhelmed and amazed at how God can use a group of misfits as ourselves to bring His truth to the people of this generation. We had a busy weekend this weekend of Dec. While the crowds are all celebrating the pagan holiday and the hussel and bussel of covetous materialism it gives us great opportunity the preach and witness to the masses on a large scale. Friday night OpenAirSeattle converged on the little want to be BIG city of Covington for their annual Lighting of the Idolatree. This was our third year in a row for this hit and it gets better each year. They had their stage set up and the city officials were there making last minute preparations as we went to the entrance of the parking lot and started to tract attack all those coming in. We passed a couple thousand Santa bills as they streamed in past us to watch the BIG tree. It came and past and then we OpenAired as they went to leave. Lazaro and I took turns for over half an hour preaching the true meaning of Christmas while Tom and Paulie headed for the corners with banners to convict them one more time as they were leaving the parking lots. God bless the tracters those that made it happen! Tracts are a powerful tool in our hands. And they work, people read them! and the seed of Gods Word is planted. May He receive all the glory! Amen
Then following on the rush of Friday night we decided to head for Bellevue to check out the famous "Snowflake Lane" I had heard of this last year but was unable to make it but we did it Last night! Snowflake Lane is the street that runs past the east entrance to the Bellevue Square Mall. They set up box perches and at 7:00 every night Nov. Thur Dec. 24 they have people dressed as drummer boys come out and play drum songs to Christmas music. We got here ahead of the event with a security police escort through the Mall and took up positions out side of Bellevue Square. We passed tracts and took the corners up with stools, banners and sandwich boards. And went to the OpenAir! More and more people began the gather as it got closer to 7:00 to where I was standing over a sea of people. Lifting up our voices of the judgment to come and Gods gift to us in the birth of Christ being Christmas. It was an awesome time in the OpenAir thousands heard the Word with conviction. We had many 1-2-1's and passed another 1,000 tracts. On our way out I spoke with security I thanked him for being there and gave him a John Gospel and a "Are you good enough to go to heaven tract". He thanked me and said he had a Roman Catholic background. He walked the Team through the Mall and I thanked him again and he invited us to come back! Praise the Living God! and we will before Christmas is here.
So far we have hit the Seattle Westlake Mall Idolatree lighting, and the Auburn Santa Parade along with these two outreaches making it a very productive season for OpenAirSeattle. Tens of thousands of people have heard or read something of the true gospel because of these outreaches. Once a man is touch he will never be the same! We have passed 10,000 tracts alone since we started! With time and more resources the possibilities are endless. And we still have till the end of December! I thank God for all the faithful in Christ that are true to the call, without your obedience there are many souls that would never hear the message of the call of their salvation. May God continue to guide us and lead us by His hand as we follow in the foot step of Jesus and reach out to seek and save that which is lost...........
