Outreach Sat. Feb 3,2006
We left home and headed into Seattle, pretty dreary, rainy and cold. Parked and got to the streets. It wasn't long and the rains stopped Praise God He is faithful to hold the weather for us every time. We started off passing a few tracts and a witness inside the Music Project. Then we headed into the Center. Tom witnessed to some Seattle PD and we moved in. Tracting and one-2-one, sowing the seed. As a farmer prepares the soil before the planting, so the proper use of the Law prepares the hard heart of the sinner to receive the living Word of grace. It is the man that hears and understands is the good soil hearer, Amen? We worked are way back into the Center house and did an openair to break the ice. And it did the weather seemed to get nicer and nicer along with the people. There was an openness it seemed with the reception of the message. Cheryl stepped out and got her toe wet good job.We went into the Center house and warmed up, had some coffee and tracted around inside. It was great, we got some pictures of people being witnessed receiving the message of salvation. You know many will ask "what do you do with the people that make decisions" well it is really hard to refer them to a sound doctrinal church that's not luke warm and water down. But the truth is if there is someone that is to the point of "what must I do to be saved" and THEY pray a prayer of repentance and faith in Christ. We believe God saves them soundly and God will keep them. For He is able to save to the uttermost those that come to Him and again Jesus says He will not lose any the Father has placed in His hands. So we will seek to contact and to disciple if within our capacity to do so. But a man must first be SAVED before you can disciple him Amen? Inviting sinners to church is not evangelism, bringing them to the pastor so he can give them the message is not evangelism. That is putting the cart before the horse. We being Christians it is our responsibility to teach them the way of salvation that is what evangelism is Amen? They get saved THEN come to church, law breakers will not come to the jail house even for a good time.Granite it can happen a, man comes into the house of God off the street and gets soundly saved though this is the exception not the rule. But just because we can not disciple a man, does not mean we stop evangelizing does it?Amen? We trust in God by Faith isn't that what the Christian Life is about? Trusting God. We are farmers of the Word we sow we plant we water we help to grow to a place where at the right time God may harvest when the convert is ripe for picking not because we want to lead them in a prayer and have them ask Jesus into their heart "which is totally unscriptural nor is it found anywhere in the Bible by the way". This is exactly why we have soooo many that fall away. Because there is no faith in God or trusting in Him to save and lead a man, some feel that if they don't do all the work God won't do anything. The fruit that lasts speaks for it's self. We worked the Vineyard of the Master, around 6:30 we headed over to the Key Arena to intercept those going into the Thunderbird game. Did another Openair and Scott broke the sound barrier chasing some sinners that were fleeing so they would hear the rest of the message. Many many heard the Gospel on their way to watch a hockey game. I had a man wearing a hockey shirt come up smelling like booze and ticked off at what we were preaching. Then get this he says he's a pastor! and he doesn't think what we are saying is right! Give me a break....... God is pouring new wine and the ABC !@# 123 method of church will go by the way side. Because the lost are in the streets not in the church. I have yet to see a preacher stand up in the openair and preach God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life. And you won't because there is no power in it, they are ashamed of the true Gospel because they are convicted themselves. Which is exactly what Jesus said the Holy Spirit would do, convict the world of their sin and the Law is there to arrest the lawlessness of this perverted, sick God rejecting world we are living in. Victory,Victory,Victory in Jesus Christ is what He had on Saturday night in the Seattle Center. God bless you all that made it out obedient to the call of Gods heart. For it is his will that none should perish but all should come to the knowledge of the truth. And that is what we do, give them the knowledge. I invite you all to step out of you comfortable cHRISTANITY and obey the Great Commission come with us into the streets, Christ died for the whole world and he came to seek and save that which is lost.
